Piroska Folklore Shop

The small shop is one of those, where it is possible to buy high-quality products, which keep the true folklore traditions. There are only works (mostly hand-made) of folk-art masters on sale here, most of which are juried (it means that the products meet the requirements of the standards to be called official Folk Art Products).

In the shop embroidery, woven products, carvings, porcelain and majolica products are for sale, and sometimes even other types of folk products are available. These can include hand-painted and decorated Easter eggs in the spring or the Christmas decoration and ornaments in the winter.

The products decorated with folk motives are not only from the whole territory of the country but also from the neighboring countries. There are also products from Korond (Transylvania) and Beregszász (Ukraine). The latter is known for its embroidery, which is also available in Kőszeg.

Aunt Piroska (the owner) pays attention to sharing the story of the desired product or its maker with the buyers. Thanks to the unique and rare supply of the shop its clientele is very wide, from Switzerland to Japan.
